Pune's Advanced
CBCT Imaging Centre
In-house Cone Beam CT technology delivers millimetre-precise 3D imaging of teeth, bone, nerves, and anatomy — the foundation of safe, predictable implant surgery, complex root canal treatment, and comprehensive treatment planning.
What is CBCT and Why
Does It Matter?
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a specialised X-ray system that produces three-dimensional images of dental structures, bone, nerve tissue, and soft tissue in a single 18-second scan. Unlike conventional dental X-rays — which provide a flat, two-dimensional view — CBCT allows your dentist to view the jaw from any angle, in any cross-section, with submillimetre accuracy.
The clinical implications are profound. A conventional X-ray cannot show bone depth, nerve position in three dimensions, or the relationship between structures that overlap in a flat view. CBCT makes the invisible visible — and transforms the accuracy of diagnosis and surgical planning.
At Dr. Mukesh's Advanced Implant & CBCT Centre, all implant cases, complex root canal assessments, and full mouth rehabilitation plans begin with CBCT imaging. This is not optional — it is the standard of care that separates guesswork from precision.
Complete 3D capture in under 20 seconds
Submillimetre accuracy for precision planning
Than a conventional medical CT scan
Complete jaw anatomy captured from every angle
Radiation Safety
A dental CBCT scan delivers radiation comparable to a flight from Mumbai to London. Advanced dose-reduction protocols and collimation limit exposure to only the area of clinical interest. Safety is never a concern at clinical scan frequencies.
What CBCT Makes
Possible
Our in-house CBCT scanner supports every complex clinical decision — from single tooth implants to full mouth rehabilitation.
Dental Implant Planning
Pre-surgical bone mapping for implant placement — visualising exact bone volume, density, nerve proximity, and sinus anatomy in 3D. Eliminates surgical guesswork entirely.
Root Canal Assessment
CBCT reveals root canal anatomy missed on conventional X-rays — extra canals, curved roots, root fractures, and periapical pathology. Essential for complex cases.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Comprehensive 3D mapping of all teeth, bone, and soft tissue for complex multi-disciplinary treatment planning.
Bone Defect Assessment
Precise measurement of bone defects for grafting procedures — enabling accurate graft planning and reducing surgical uncertainty.
TMJ & Jaw Assessment
Detailed imaging of the temporomandibular joint for patients with jaw pain, clicking, or bruxism-related TMJ dysfunction.
Orthodontic Planning
Skeletal analysis, impacted tooth positioning, and airway assessment for comprehensive orthodontic and surgical cases.
What to Expect
at Your Scan
Preparation
No special preparation is required. Remove jewellery, glasses, and any removable dental prosthetics. The entire process takes 15–20 minutes.
The Scan
You are positioned in the CBCT unit — either seated or standing. A single, painless 18-second rotation captures the complete 3D image. No contrast injection, no discomfort.
Immediate Review
CBCT images are available for review within minutes. Dr. Mukesh discusses findings with you at the same appointment — explaining what the 3D data shows and how it informs your treatment plan.
Precision planning begins with a 3D scan.
CBCT is included in all implant consultations at our centre. Call or WhatsApp to book.
